The cellist Yo-Yo Ma has performed for presidents and on the earth’s nice live performance halls. This weekend, he took his cello to a meadow on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana to play for a herd of bison. Famed Cellist Yo-Yo Ma has a project dedicated to promoting and celebrating ecological healing.
That led him to Glacier National Park to play for a herd of newly reintroduced bison. Experts and volunteers have been joined by students from around 20 universities across the country, with many of them camping on the dig. Other important fossils discovered this time have been Neanderthal hand axes, historic bison bones and a prehistoric shark fin.
